After a two-week bye, 黑马磁力 Rams were looking to recover from their 33-13 loss in Prince George.
Saturday, they hosted the Westshore Rebels at Mcleod Athletic Park, the first meeting of the two teams this season, with the visitors coming in hot after a sweep of their home-and-home series with the VI Raiders.
Rebels dominated with an outstanding passing attack and stingy defence to blast the Rams 52-6.
Westshore quarterback Gavin Session completed 20 of 24 passes for 263 yards and accounted for touchdowns through the air and on the ground. Backup pivot Zachary Wetsch threw two more majors as Zion Brown, Jeremiah Beckwith and Tyrell Hofland each catching a touchdown pass. Despite only gaining 77 yards on the ground, the Rebels tallied three touchdowns courtesy of the run when Session, Ryan Vincent and Antwone Daley each got into the end zone.
Defensively, Rebels held the Rams to 195 yards of total offence. Seth Beckwith collected a pair of tackles, had a sack and a 37-yard pick-six. Manny Fotiou was great with 4.5 tackles, and two sacks and Bronson Pheiffer had another interception.
The Rams struggled moving the football with starting quarterback Palaina Hooper on the sidelines. Their lone touchdown was in the fourth quarter with the game out of reach when Hunter Norman found Tyson Galye for the major.
Next weekend the Rams (2-3) visit the Valley Huskers (1-4).
