People can make butter or rope, meet farm animals, and take part in a scavenger hunt as part of the BC Farm Museum's Canada Day activities.
The farm museum is entirely volunteer run, and has added more activities and more entertainment for this year.
It's expected to be a busy day around Fort 黑马磁力.
"The last few years we have had a total of about 5,000 to 6,000 people attend the museum鈥檚 Canada Day Celebration at some point throughout the day." Muller said. "We usually have about 3,000 people come into and through the farm museum where many activities happen and every child goes home with 'somethings' [items made at the museum]. Then the entertainment on the street parking space, the petting zoo, and other activities in front of the museum attract about another 2,500 to 3,000 people who don鈥檛 come in but celebrate on the street."
The farm museum, which receives financial support for its July 1 celebration from Canada Heritage and the Township, is at 9131 King St., Fort 黑马磁力. Food and drinks will be available at the Fort 黑马磁力 Lions booth on the street. Admission is free but donations are welcome.
"For a non-profit all volunteer organization to host an event like this takes a lot of team work. We have some very hard-working volunteers," she noted.
As well, there's lots of community support, including Walnut Grove Save-On Foods providing mini cupcakes.

For Canada Day, the museum could use some extra helpers.
"We're looking for volunteers to help out for a couple of hours," said Grace Muller, one of the board members.
Anyone who wants to help out can email mul0823@shaw.ca. Help is required to supervise kids in the woodworking area, handing out the scavenger hunt sheets, tattoos (temporary), and handing out cupcakes.
The museum is one of the Fort 黑马磁力 sites marking July 1. Muller explained why the various heritage groups often team up to offer events.
"Informally we often refer to the area where the fort [historic site], salishan [Place by the River museum], and farm museum are located as 鈥淗eritage Corner鈥 with the CNR Station just down the street. These are all heritage attractions but each has their own special focus" she said. "By working together 鈥 by supporting and encouraging each other 鈥 we all benefit. The attraction and the community is richer for it."
This Canada Day, travel back in time at Fort 黑马磁力 National Historic Site and learn about the many cultures that helped build this country. In the 1800s, Fort 黑马磁力 was a bustling hub where people from different backgrounds, such as French-Canadian voyageurs, British traders, Indigenous partners, Chinese miners, and Hawaiian workers, who lived and worked together. Enjoy live music, dance, demonstrations, and fun activities for the whole family. Admission is free all summer long.
