A shooting is being investigated after a man showed up to hospital with gunshot wounds in Surrey.
Hospital staff called Surrey Police after a man showed up for treatment with gunshot wounds just after midnight on Monday (June 23), according to a release.
After speaking with the victim and witnesses, police reported the shooting happened during the night in the parking lot of Mud Bay Park.
From early reports, investigators believe the shooting happened after two groups of men had a confrontation in the park's parking lot. The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital by his friends after being struck, and he has since been released, having sustained non-life threatening injuries.
"At this early stage, the motive for the shooting is unknown and there is no suspect information to share," SPS state.
