After a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted early Tuesday morning in Surrey, police are hoping witnesses will come forward.
Around 3:10 a.m. a woman was walking toward a bus stop in the 9800-block of King George Boulevard when she was approached by a man who asked to use her phone, Surrey Police Service said in a release.
When the woman refused, the suspect reportedly pushed her into a nearby bush and then allegedly, sexually assaulted her, it continued. The female victim, who suffered minor injuries, fought off the suspect and he ran away, northbound.
He is described as tall, skinny South Asian male, with black hair, wearing a black T-shirt, maroon shorts, and black and white shoes.
SPS鈥檚 Special Investigation Section is taking conduct of the investigation, the release said, and are hoping images of the suspect will help identify him.
