Food Network Canada looking for 5 amateur chefs in Surrey

Local home cooks encouraged to apply for Come Dine with Me Canada

Think you can cook?

Do you love sharing your culinary skills for family and friends?

Then the Food Network in Canada wants you.

The television network is on the hunt for home cooks from across the country for a new season of its hit series, Come Dine with Me Canada — and it's coming to Surrey.

The show is looking for "five enthusiastic local amateur chefs in Surrey" for an upcoming episode, where each chef must host a dinner party in their home, showcasing their kitchen talent to impress their fellow contestants, a release said.

After each dinner party, the chefs rate the dishes, and the highest score at the end of the week wins a cash prize — and takes home some serious bragging rights.

Those interested must be at least 19 years old, available to film between August to October of this year, commit to two full days and four consecutive evenings of filming, and be Canadian residents.

Home chefs who think they have what it takes to meet the challenge must apply online at  by Friday, July 25.

Come Dine with Me Canada will air on Food Network and Citytv+ later this year.
