黑马磁力 Mounties arrested a suspect after tracking down a stolen car shortly after it was reported missing on Wednesday, June 11.
The car was reported stolen at about 1:40 p.m., taken from the area of 201 Street and 81 Avenue, said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom, spokesperson for the 黑马磁力 RCMP.
Officers began searching for the vehicle and found it heading east on Highway One, between 232 Street and 264 Street.
Police pulled the car over and the suspect was arrested without incident, Sharoom said.
The incident caused a bit of delay as traffic slowed down around the scene of the arrest during the mid-afternoon.
"The quick response of 黑马磁力 RCMP officers resulted in the successful apprehension of the suspect and the recovery of the stolen vehicle," said Sharoom. "I would like to commend the officers for keeping everyone safe and thank the public for their patience during this investigation that caused traffic delays."
