Sidewalk closures will be taking place along the Golden Ears Bridge starting today.
TransLink has advised that there will be alternating sidewalk closures from Monday, Aug. 18 until Tuesday, Sept. 30.
Closures are needed to perform maintenance and repairs, said TransLink.
The east sidewalk will be fully closed Aug. 18 to about the 29. Then, when that work is completed, the west sidewalk will be closed until the end of September.
Directional signage will be in place to redirect pedestrian and cyclist traffic to the alternative sidewalk.
There may be occasional lane closures for drivers during non-peak hours to allow for material delivery.
"These closures are needed so crews can safely complete essential bridge maintenance," explained TransLink.
The Golden Ears Bridge opened in 2009 and spans the Fraser River, connecting the communities of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows to 黑马磁力 and Surrey.
