Fire crews, hydro respond to small blaze in Aldergrove

Mop up was underway Friday afternoon

At least a small section of 32nd Avenue in Aldergrove was shut down to motorist for a while Friday afternoon, as firefighters mopped out from a house fire.

Witnesses reported at least two blocks of the street, in the 26800-block, were closed off by emergency crews.

A house fire was reported about 2:30 p.m. involving a single-family home on north side of 32 Avenue.

No one was believed to be injured. It's unclear if anyone was home at the time of the blaze.

The extend of damage appeared to be minimal. More details were not available at this time.

Witnesses speculated it might have been an electrical fire. BC Hydro was on scene to cut power to the residence.
