Wildfire estimated at 0.6 hectares discovered in Hope

According to BC Wildfire Service, a 0.6-hectare wildfire in Hope is out of control as of Thursday (July 3) at 1:35 a.m.

A wildfire discovered on Wednesday (July 2) in Hope is out of control, according to the B.C. Wildfire Service map. 

The blaze at Serpent's Back Trail is 0.6 hectares in size as of 1:35 a.m. on Thursday (July 3).

Per the B.C. Wildfire Service website, an out-of-control wildfire means it is either spreading or anticipated to spread beyond the current perimeter or control line.

Coastal Fire Centre's last update suspected the fire was human-caused, but details aren't yet available on response or evacuations.
