It takes its name from Vandale, who passed away suddenly in 2009 at the age of 42, and used to coach youth ringette with the Fraser Valley Ringette Association.
To honour her memory, her name was added to the already-existing Spirit of Winter ringette tournament.
In the other tournament divisions, the Surrey White Rock Shooters clinched first in the Masters, while the St. Albert Selects finished first in U19A.
In U16A play, gold was won by the Vandettas of the Vancouver Ringette association, top honors in U14A went to the Greater Vernon Ringette Association鈥檚 (GVRA) Venom and U14B was won by the GVRA Voltage.
