Aldergrove's sychronized skaters working in unison to fundraise for competition travel

Team trying a variety of fundraising activities to help cover trip costs

They've held a car wash and now comes a garage sale.

Members of the Aldergrove Skating Club Synchronized skating teams are doing everything they can think of to raise money for a competition in early 2026.

The skaters are hosting a garage sale fundraiser on Sunday, Sept. 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 27009 Fraser Hwy.

"The teams are working hard to raise funds for their upcoming trip to Alberta. We are thrilled to represent our small town at this year's Mountain Regionals Synchronized Skating competition," said club president Cashmere Roder.

On Friday, Aug. 29, the STAR 8 synchro team held a car wash at the Royal Canadian Legion Aldergrove branch during sunny hot conditions. Watch for more fundraiser in the weeks to come as the young skaters work towards their dream.
