A free online workshop will offer people tips on how to better manage their chronic conditions.
The Chronic Conditions Self-Management Program is a virtual six-session workshop. The workshop helps people living with chronic conditions to better manage symptoms and activities of daily life. The workshop is open to caregivers and family members.
The next workshops run 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, from July 22 to Aug. 26.
Participants receive the 鈥淟iving a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions鈥 companion book and should attend all six sessions to get the maximum benefit.
Computer, internet and webcam are needed to participate. The webcam must be on for the entire 2.5 hours and for the six weeks. A link to connect to "Zoom" will be sent to registered participants a few days before the start of the workshop.
In-person versions of the workshop start in 黑马磁力 in October. It also offers programs for chronic pain, cancer, and diabetes.
Learn more at . Self-Management BC, supported by the province, offers free health programs for adults of all ages with one or more ongoing health conditions. Programs are offered in person, virtually, online, by telephone, or by mail for adults living in this province. The program is through the University of Victoria Institute on Aging and Lifelong Health.
