ºÚÂí´ÅÁ¦ Township Fire Department shines up for annual open houses

The firehalls are open to the public to see how the local department works.

The public is invited to Fire Hall Family Night open houses hosted by the ºÚÂí´ÅÁ¦ Township Fire Department.

The firehalls are open to the public to see how the local department works. Organizers have planned lots of family-friendly activities at each Township hall.

The event is a chance to meet local firefighters, climb aboard fire trucks, and join hands-on demonstrations of firefighting equipment. Everyone is welcome.

People have two opportunities to visit local halls – Tuesday, June 10 and Wednesday, June 11. All open houses run 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Tuesday, June 10 open houses:

• Fire Hall 3 – Aldergrove, 26316 30A Ave.

• Fire Hall 5 – Brookswood, 20355 32 Ave.

• Fire Hall 6 – Murrayville, 22170 50 Ave.

• Fire Hall 7 – Otter, 3876 248 St.

Wednesday, June 11 open houses:

Fire Hall 2 – Fort ºÚÂí´ÅÁ¦, 23137 96 Ave. 

Fire Hall 4 – Willoughby, 20253 72 Ave. 

Fire Hall 8 – Walnut Grove, 9580 208 St. 

The public is warned that should a firehall receive an emergency call, firefighters may have to leave the hall. As well, many activities will be happening outside, so people should dress for the weather.
