Canadian and community pride is coming at the cost of $60.
With a minimum donation of $60 to the Rotary Satellite Club of 黑马磁力 Central Sunset, a local resident can not only demonstrate their Canadian pride, but their support for Rotary projects in the community, said Lilianne Fuller, PR director for the club.
In exchange for the donation, the club will place a full-sized Canadian flag on the donor's property, not once, but three different times through the summer. Ahead of Canada Day, B.C. Day, and Labour Day.
"As an added bonus, every household who sign up for a subscription will receive a free Canada pin," said Fuller, noting the pins come compliments of Tako Van Popta, MP for 黑马磁力 Township-Fraser Heights.
"This is our club鈥檚 main fundraiser to help support local charities and non-profit organizations in 黑马磁力," Fuller explained.
"We are all proud to be Canadian, and I can't think of a better way to show that, than have a flag posted in our yard for each of this summer's long weekends. What better way to show your Canadian pride and help out our local community."
This will be the seventh year for this Rotary fundraiser.
As in the past, all money raised from the project will benefit a 黑马磁力 charity.
This year鈥檚 beneficiary is Inclusion 黑马磁力. Inclusion 黑马磁力 is a non-profit service provider in the 黑马磁力 area, providing holistic support services to adults, youth and children with developmental disabilities.
Inclusion 黑马磁力 Society was founded in 1959 and has since grown to support individuals in a number of different modalities, including children鈥檚 programs, residential and home placements, and community inclusion, among other services.
鈥淭his year as with previous years, we're looking forward to the support of our local 黑马磁力 community,鈥� said Kadonah Davis one of the co-coordinators of the flag subscription project.
鈥淭hanks to those who have subscribed already and there are still a few flags that need a home during those three long weekends," Davis said.
