Payel Laceese captured a lightning storm on his Smart phone Saturday, June 14, while attending the Father's Day Traditional Pow Wow near Williams Lake.

During the Father's Day Traditional Pow Wow Saturday, June 14 hosted by Williams Lake First Nation, a lightning storm hit at midnight.

Pow wow goer Peyal Laceese of Tl'esqox First Nation happened to capture some of it on video with his Xiaomi 15 ultra smartphone, which he shared with the Tribune. He said the pow wow was still going on at the time the lightning started.

"There was a spotlight special so there was dancers in the dark with the lightning in the background," he said.

Laceese does cultural work with communities, advocating as a youth, he told the Tribune.
