Chilliwack鈥檚 Mary Hnatiw, who has been keeping busy these days by cooking and sewing at home, says that winning $500,000 from the May 1, 2020 Lotto Max draw feels 鈥楨xtra鈥� special.
Hnatiw said she was 鈥渋n shock鈥� after scanning her ticket after filling up at the gas station, and realizing she鈥檇 won. The first person she told that she鈥檇 matched all four numbers to win the top Lotto Max Extra prize was her daughter.
鈥淸My daughter] was so surprised, she said 鈥業 can鈥檛 believe it!鈥欌�� Hnatiw recalled.
Hnatiw, who has been playing the lottery for 25 years and likes to play Lotto Max and Lotto 6/49, purchased her ticket at the Lickman Chevron in Chilliwack and says she always says yes to the Extra.

As far as her plans for enjoying her win, Hnatiw says she would like to travel at some point.
鈥淚 would like to go back to Europe鈥ut right now that is not an option,鈥� she says. 鈥淚 will celebrate at home and share the rest with my kids and grandkids.鈥�
