Day one of the B.C. Open disc golf tournament got underway Saturday morning with amateur competitors from as far away as Australia playing the Raptors Knoll course in Aldergrove.
Organizers scaled back this year鈥檚 event from previous highs approaching 600 to around 400 ro reduce congestion.
