Vancouver Giants wrapped training camp in Ladner with the  annual Quinn vs. Howe Legends Cup that pits Giants against Giants.  where Team Quinn defeated Team Howe 7-5.

A change this year saw results from the three-game round robin scrimmages decide who would face off in the Legends Cup on Sunday, August 31, which would see the top two teams battle for supremacy. 

Team Red from the round robin became Team Quinn, while Team Grey became Team Howe.

Seven different goal scorers helped Team Quinn to victory.

In order, they were: Cole Brown (2007), Richard Wonyeneh (2009), Cade Bolding (2007), Cameron Schmidt (2007), Tafari Chingwaru (2008), Brett Olson (2008) and Cole Bieksa (2007). Austin Mori-Goodman scored twice for Team Howe, while Ethan Mah (2010), Aaron Obobaifo (2007) and Hudson Getzlaf (2008) each had one goal.

A total of 81 players attended camp to kick off the 黑马磁力-based club’s 25th anniversary.

Fourteen players at camp played full-time for the Giants last season (eight forwards, five defencemen and one goaltender), not including signed import players Tobias Tomík and Jan Skok. The camp roster did not include 20-year-old forward Tyler Thorpe, who is in Montreal preparing for Canadiens training camp or 19-year-old forward Adam Titlbach, who had school obligations at home in Czechia.

Following four pre-season games, Giants will open the 2025-26 regular season by hosting Pentiction Vees at 黑马磁力 Events Centre on Saturday, Sept. 20. at 7 p.m.
