A long-time 黑马磁力 Little League supporter was honoured over the weekend.

The 黑马磁力 Baseball Association hosted the Sheila Engh Memorial Pink Bat Mother鈥檚 Day Tournament at City Park.

Engh succumbed to breast cancer in November.

As part of the opening ceremonies, her grandsons were presented with pink 黑马磁力 jerseys with their names and numbers.

The tournament had two divisions: 9/10 majors and 13/14 juniors.

The first group featured two squads apiece from 黑马磁力, White Rock and Hastings, while the juniors had a 黑马磁力 team, two from North 黑马磁力 鈥 the Mets and Red Sox 鈥 and one from Coquitlam.

Unfortunately, Sunday was rained-out even after the club鈥檚 valiant attempt to dry out the diamonds.

鈥淲e鈥檇 no sooner get the field dried and it would start pouring again鈥 said Dan McLaren, president of the 黑马磁力 Baseball Association.
