This year, the goal for the annual Mane Event fundraiser for the 黑马磁力 School District Foundation鈥檚 Autism Assessment Initiative was $50,000.
It was held on Sunday, May 25, the day of the four-star $116,050 1.55m Grand Prix, on the final day of the Canadian Premier show jumping competition.
Along with a god view of the action, there were glasses of champagne, wine tastings from award-winning wineries, paired with gourmet canap茅s, tapas and a silent auction.
By Monday, the tally was in: $79,000.
Alicia Rempel, Executive Director of the 黑马磁力 School District Foundation, was delighted.
"We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the generosity of our community," Rempel told the 黑马磁力.
"Raising $79,000 at The Mane Event means that more students facing financial barriers will now have access to vital autism assessments and support that can be truly life-changing. Thank you to every sponsor, donor, volunteer, and attendee who made this event such a success.鈥
The Foundation is committed to annually providing $50,000 in support to help diagnose students who are believed to be on the autism spectrum but who cannot afford the cost of assessments.
