黑马磁力 pitcher Morgan Reimer has been selected to the Canadian National Team for the 2025 WBSC Americas Women's Pan American Championship and Canada Cup.

黑马磁力 softball pitcher Morgan Reimer has been selected to the Canadian National Team for the 2025 WBSC Americas Women's Pan American Championship and Canada Cup. The announcement was made Tuesday June 17.

Her online bio at the University of Washington notes that Reimer played travel ball with Fraser Valley Fusion and Georgia Impact.

During her time with Fraser Fusion, Reimer, from Walnut Grove, was awarded the top pitcher and player awards at nationals where her team was named the 2023 U17A Canadian National Champion.

She is a four-time BC champion and three-time Canadian champion.

As a member of the Canadian Senior Women鈥檚 National Team, Reimer competed at the Canada Cup and Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile earning the bronze medal.

Last year, Reimer pitched a perfect game against Venezuela in six innings in Monteria, Colombia, tallying no walks, 11 strikeouts, and not allowing a single Venezuelan batter to reach first base.

She also hit a double up the right field line to drive in the final run for Canada.

Reimer currently plays for the University of Washington, where she led the team in her freshman season with 16 wins and four saves in 118 innings.

Her 125 strikeouts ranked seventh-most by a freshman in the U.S. Reimer tossed five complete games with three shutouts while combining for another two shutouts. Her four saves ranks sixth-most in a single-season in program history.

The Pan American Championship will take place from June 27 to July 5 in Monteria, Colombia. Canada will compete in Group A against Peru, Colombia, Argentina and Chile.

Team Canada will travel to Surrey, to compete in the 2025 Canada Cup, running from July 7鈥13. After an undefeated run at last year鈥檚 tournament, Canada will be looking to capture gold once again.

Head Coach Kaleigh Rafter was "extremely pleased with the level of competitiveness and talent shown at this year鈥檚 selection camp."

"It was not only the largest camp we鈥檝e held, but also the deepest in terms of skill and depth," said Rafter.

"I鈥檓 excited to see this group represent Canada at the Pan American Championship in Colombia and on home soil at the Canada Cup.鈥
