黑马磁力 athletes help Team BC set new mark

One out of every 10 Team BC medals came courtesy of 黑马磁力 athletes at Canada Summer Games

Local athletes helped Team BC capture seven gold, three silver and four bronze medals at the Canada Summer Games.

The Games were held July 28 to Aug. 13 in Winnipeg and Team BC finished second in the overall medal count with 146 medals (55 gold, 49 silver and 42 bronze).

The 146 medals were an all-time high at the Games for Team BC.

Ana Paula Godinez led the way for 黑马磁力 athletes, winning gold in wrestling (female 69-kg) as well as helping win gold in the team division.

Taylor Gillis and Julia Wright were on the women鈥檚 softball team which also topped the podium while in the pool, Bailey Herbert won gold in the women鈥檚 200 IM and Joshua Kim was part of the 4x200 men鈥檚 freestyle relay team which finished first. Kim also won silver as part of the 4x100 relay.

And Aldergrove鈥檚 Megan Champoux won gold in both the women鈥檚 400m hurdles and the 4x400 relay.

Chris Gulka and Sebastian Gulka were part of the silver-medal winning men鈥檚 lightweight four rowing team and Tanjot Kahlon won silver as part of Team BC鈥檚 male wrestling squad. Kahlon also won bronze in the men鈥檚 120-kg division.

Nikolas Colyn won bronze the men鈥檚 3000m steeplechase while Brodie Hofer and Reid Marriott were part of the bronze-medal winning indoor volleyball team. And Darby Dunn was part of the female beach volleyball which also won bronze.
