Dear Editor,

A month ago I was walking along a sidewalk in the Fort ºÚÂí´ÅÁ¦ village. Two boys riding on the sidewalk sped past me on their bicycles. I did not hear them coming, and as a senior I am not as sturdy as I used to be.

I was visibly shaken so one of the boys cycled back and apologized.

Recently the same scenario happened. An older boy sped past me riding on the sidewalk and almost caused me to fall down.

Thank you to those parents who teach their children respect to those using the sidewalks.

A bell or verbal warning that they are passing would be very helpful.
