A residence in east Maple Ridge has been the target of two shootings in as little as three weeks.
At around 2:20 a.m., on Wednesday, June 18, Ridge Meadows RCMP confirmed they responded to a report of several shots fired at the residence in the 12400 block of 266 Street.
When they arrived on scene, police determined there were no injuries.
At around 3 a.m. on May 30, police were called to the same property after several shots were fired at the home. Again, no injuries were reported.
The information came to light after multiple neighbours posted comments about the latest shooting online.
One neighbour said the shooting woke them up, another said they heard a motorcycle leaving the scene, and another said the home still had boards up and bullet holes near the front door from the shooting on May 30.
Police didn't say whether the house was occupied when either of the shootings took place, or how many shots were fired.
Officers are currently on scene canvassing for video surveillance and possible witnesses.
They do believe both incidents to be targeted and the Ridge Meadows RCMP鈥檚 Serious Crime Unit has conduct of both investigations, which are ongoing.
"Ridge Meadows RCMP recognizes the concerns of local residents and is taking steps to ensure appropriate public safety measures are in place," said police.
