PHOTOS: 2-vehicle crash in Surrey requires 'Jaws of Life' for rescue

Emergency crews were at the scene of a two-vehicle crash in the Sullivan area of Surrey late Thursday evening (Aug. 7).

The crash happened in the intersection of 64 Avenue and 148 Street at around 10:50 p.m., according to a freelance photographer.

One vehicle left the road onto a grassy area beside the train tracks, and a passenger was trapped for a time before firefighters used "Jaws of Life" and other equipment to free him.

The injured passenger was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries, and at least one other person was treated by paramedics at the crash site.
