Two Conservative MLAs are demanding action from the B.C. New Democratic Party after a second shooting at a Surrey home that police are investigating as an extortion file.
Conservative Attorney General critic Steve Kooner reissued a May 21 statement and is renewing his demands for urgent government action after a home in the Panorama Ridge neighbourhood of Surrey was targeted in .
Despite SPS setting up surveillance cameras after the first shooting around 3 a.m. on May 13, the house was again, targeted, also around 3 a.m., on May 25.

", with no end in sight to this escalating nightmare. These criminals have no fear of the police because they know: Even if arrested, they will face no consequences," he said.
Kooner's May 21 statement called on the NDP government and B.C.'s Attorney General "to take immediate action following a high-profile killing in Ontario that involved similar tactics used in B.C. extortion cases."
"These aren鈥檛 isolated incidents: We鈥檙e seeing a , and in some cases, the same extortion tactics and notes linked to violent attacks in other provinces,鈥 Kooner, who is MLA for Richmond-Queensborough, said. 鈥淭his is organized crime targeting British Columbians and, as usual, the NDP are looking the other way.鈥
Kooner said organized crime is "brazenly operating on our streets."
"The NDP鈥檚 silence is dangerous and inexcusable. British Columbians, especially those in the South Asian business community, deserve safety, support, and serious action from this government.鈥
