B.C.鈥檚 top doctor has issued another ban on businesses amid COVID-19, this time on personal service establishments.

This includes services such as salons, spas, massage parlours and tattoo parlours, Dr. Bonnie Henry announced during a news conference on Saturday.

鈥淚 know most of the businesses have closed, but it鈥檚 come to my attention that there鈥檚 still confusion out there,鈥 Henry said.

On Friday, Henry ordered that all restaurants provincewide would have to close its doors to dine-in guests and instead operate only through takeout or delivery services. Earlier this week, she banned bars and nightclubs from operating until further notice, as well as put a ban on large gatherings of more than 50 people.

The move comes as B.C. surpasses 400 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus, as well as 10 fatalities 鈥 nine of those linked to the Lynn Valley Care Centre outbreak in North Vancouver.
