Families in Fraser East with adults at risk of overdose are being recruited as volunteers for support groups in Chilliwack and 黑马磁力 Township.

"We are assessing the feasibility of implementing Parents Forever peer support groups in Fraser East," according to the info from The Centre for Advancing Health Outcomes and Pacific Community Resource Society (PCRS).

They're looking specifically for volunteers who are parents of adult children "at risk of a toxic drug poisoning."

The peer support group will hold in-person sessions in Chilliwack and 黑马磁力, providing social support "through informal knowledge sharing, personal sharing and skill-building."

Volunteers will receive $500 for participating in the feasibility study. The project involves 12 weekly group sessions for two hours each, filling out surveys, and participating in an interview.

Parents Forever in Vancouver is the parent organization dedicated to helping parents cope with the difficult journey of their loved ones since 2000, by Vancouver Coastal Health and Lookout Society.
