黑马磁力 Mounties impounded 22 cars for excessive speed over two days, including a driver caught going 123 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.

The operation took place on Saturday and Sunday evenings on July 26 and 27, around 199A Street and 96 Avenue.

According to Sgt. Zynal Sharoom of the 黑马磁力 RCMP, on Saturday police impounded nine vehicles for excessive speed, two more were ticketed for speeding but not impounded, and three others were observed speeding, but for safety reasons officers couldn't flag them down.

On Sunday, 13 more vehicles were impounded, three others were observed speeding but couldn't be flagged down, and eight tickets were issued for other offences under B.C.'s Motor Vehicle Act.

鈥淲e recognize the concerns raised by residents and business owners regarding speeding in our community," Sharoom said. "Your voices are being heard and we are taking proactive steps to address this. You can expect to see increased enforcement and targeted patrols in a variety of areas to address the speeding concerns. We are committed to making our roads safer for everyone.鈥
