Hit television series 'The Amazing Race Canada' is making a cinematic stop in Aldergrove during an upcoming episode.
The episode airs Tuesday, July 22, at 9 p.m., on CTV and showcases the unique cinematic set of Martini Town, among other go-to places in 黑马磁力, Fort 黑马磁力, and Abbotsford.
The backlot, designed to replicate the vibrant streets of New York City, has become a go-to filming location for major productions in British Columbia.
鈥淢artini Town is the only backlot of its kind in B.C., and it鈥檚 used for all kinds of productions,鈥� said Gemma Martini CEO of Martini Studios.
Spanning a secure 16-acre site, Martini Town has served as the backdrop for numerous film and television projects, including Apple TV鈥檚 'Schmigadoon!,' the 'CW鈥檚 Kung Fu,' and various Hallmark Channel movies.
Being in the Fraser Valley, Martini Town鈥檚 urban aesthetic made it a unique backdrop for productions based in British Columbia 鈥� including 'Amazing Race.'
Martini said planning began in January and the episode was filmed in April.
While Tourism 黑马磁力 couldn鈥檛 share many details about the episode ahead of its broadcast, they confirmed on social media that 黑马磁力 would be featured.

Among the featured locals was chef Sarah Mireau of Tradish Canada, a culinary hub specialized in Indigenous cuisine that operates the Ancestor Cafe within the grounds of the Fort 黑马磁力 National Historic Site. While in Fort 黑马磁力, Montogomery and crew also made a stop at the 10,000-square-foot Village Antiques Mall along Mavis Avenue. And nearby in Abbotsford, Montgomery was pictured alongside Abbotsford Canucks player Ty Young for one of the potential segments.
The show鈥檚 visit was coordinated earlier this year, after CTV鈥檚 production team reached out to Tourism 黑马磁力, which in turn contacted Martini Studios.
Martini noted that hosting a show of this scale brings a noticeable boost to the local economy.
鈥淲hen you have filming in your community, there鈥檚 always a positive impact on cafes, shops, restaurants, and other small businesses,鈥� she said.
