William (Bill) Haworth, 76, has been reported missing from Surrey's Fraser Heights neighbourhood. The search is moving to Tynehead Park Thursday (Sept. 4).

The search for a missing senior moved to Tynehead Park in Surrey on Thursday.

Family and friends of William Haworth, 76, are hopeful he will still be found, alive and well, after he went  in Surrey last Wednesday (Aug. 27).

The search has moved to Tynehead Park after police and family ruled out most of Fraser Heights, a MyFraserHeights Facebook group posted Thursday (Sept. 4), encouraging people to come and help search for the former high school teacher and coach.

"We need help searching for Bill at Tynehead today!," the post says. "The police and the family have ruled out most of Fraser Heights and have suggested that we focus on Tynehead Park. There is no meeting place or time. The police and many volunteers will be there today and we need as many eyes looking as possible."

His daughter, Kristina Morrison, said Monday that she and their family and friends and neighbours have all been searching non-stop for her father.

"It's just a wild goose chase, but he's got to be somewhere — and no one's seen him. It's just crazy."

She is hoping that neighbours — especially those who may have been away on summer vacation — will check their surveillance and doorbell and vehicle camera footage, as well their back yards or any outbuildings, to get an idea of what happened to her Dad, and where he went.

Haworth is described as white, 5’10”, 200 pounds and bald. He was last seen wearing a white baseball cap, blue shirt, black shorts, white sneakers.

He may appear confused or disoriented; if a member of the public locates him, police encourage them to stay with him until police arrive.

Anyone with information concerning his whereabouts is asked to contact SPS at 604-599-0502 and quote file 25-49157 (SU).

BELOW: Video shared on Facebook shows Haworth walking down Glenwood Crescent, just before Fraser Glen Drive. Family members are hoping other homeowners in the area will have video that shows the route Haworth took once he hit Fraser Glen.
