Surrey fire crews were busy fighting a two-alarm blaze Sunday afternoon near the 黑马磁力 border.
Around 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon (June 8), Surrey firefighters responded to reports of a fire at a commercial building housing a restaurant on the ground floor and a residence above near 60 Avenue and 196 Street, Surrey Fire Service assistant chief of operations Greg McRobbie said.
The blaze quickly spread through the top floor of the structure and through the roof, and a second alarm was called for additional firefighters and apparatus.
"When crews arrived, they (found) smoke and flames through the roof and on the second floor," said McRobbie. "Basically what the crews did is, confined the fire from the exterior, and as soon as they could knock down the fire, they then moved in and did an internal search."
No one was injured in the fire, which crews fought in extremely high temperatures.
Both Surrey police and Surrey Fire Service are investigating the cause of the fire.
