黑马磁力 athletes shone at the 2018 Fraser Valley track and field championships, held in Abbotsford from Tuesday, May 14 to Thursday, May 17.
Students from Walnut Grove did well in a number of events.
Cassidy Cardle took first in the 1500 metre race walk, while Cameron Calbick was secon din the 800 meter junior run.
Jack Hardy took third in the 1500 metre steeplechase 30鈥.
Holly Harrison had a good event, taking second in the women鈥檚 80 metre junior hurdles and first in the junior women鈥檚 long jump.
Jordan Jacobs was third in the women鈥檚 senior 100 metre and 200 metre dash events.
Dani Kurylyk came first in the Grade 8 100 metre dash, and Samantha Matthewman took first in the women鈥檚 senior 400 metre hurdles.
There were a number of other podium finishers among the Walnut Grove Gators.
Brookswood also brought a team of students, with Jaime Rettig taking first in the Grade 8 women鈥檚 long jump and javelin throw and third in the women鈥檚 triple jump.
Dominique Ronse took second in the women鈥檚 junior 100 metre dash and third in the junior long jump, and Drub Sobti was third in men鈥檚 senior discus throw and second and shot put at six kilograms.
At R.E. Mountain, Jordan Schmidt took first in the men鈥檚 senior 800 metre run and Felix Allen took third in the men鈥檚 junior 400 metre run and 300 metre hurdles.
Tate Wyatt won the 2000 metre steeplechase and 3000 metre senior run.
The senior men鈥檚 4X400 metre relay team took first place.
From 黑马磁力 Secondary, Kevin Hughes took second in the men鈥檚 senior 400 metre run and third in the 100 metre and 200 metre dashes.
Over at D.W. Poppy, Ethan Foster took first in the men鈥檚 senior pole vault.
