From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. visitors to the historic venue at 23245 Mavis Ave., near the tracks, could discover the real-life stories of a once working railway station. Inside Fort ºÚÂí´ÅÁ¦â€™s original Canadian Northern Railway station, there's exhibits in the waiting room, telegraph office, and freight room.
A new display is devoted to life of the black porters who worked on the trains many years ago.
People were able to climb aboard a 1947 passenger car where children could enjoy a large wooden train table and book reading area along with the model HO railway operating in the adjoining 1920s CNR caboose.
Children could seal a letter from the train agent with a wax stamp.
