Canada is turning 150 years old and the Township of 黑马磁力 wants to help its communities celebrate.
黑马磁力 Township will hold two main Canada Day events on Saturday, July 1, with free activities and entertainment for the whole family.
A celebration will be held in Fort 黑马磁力 at the 黑马磁力 Centennial Museum, and the 黑马磁力 Canada Day JRBQ will take place in Willoughby Community Park.

Township Council has announced that a Canada 150 Community Celebration Grant will be made available to other communities, including Aldergrove, Brookswood/Fernridge, Murrayville, and Walnut Grove, so that parties and gatherings can be held in honour of our nation鈥檚 milestone.
One-time grant opportunities of $1,000 will be provided to help cover the cost of family-friendly entertainment, birthday cake, balloons, free activities, and giveaways.
Only one grant will be awarded in each community and proposals are now being accepted from local societies and services clubs that would like to host a Canada Day celebration that is open to the public.
Written email proposals should clearly state how groups plan to spend the grant funds; who will be involved in planning and organizing the party; how many volunteers will be involved on the day to ensure a successful event; the location of the event; and how your group will engage the community to make the event inviting and accessible to all.

Deadline for proposals is Friday, June 2 and successful groups will be notified by Wednesday, June 7.
