Charleston dancers, a hotdog barbecue, Quebec burlesque performer, and Indian motorcycles are on tap for this weekend, thanks to a few 黑马磁力 businesses.

Let鈥檚 start by talking  about a Roaring 鈥20s fashion show being held this Friday night at Cascades Casino to help Sonya Perkins and the team at Forever Yours Lingerie celebrate 20 years in business and raise money for their charitable initiative, Supportive Start.

More than 400 guests (many in prohobition and Gatsby-themed outfits) are expected to join in the celebration starting at 7 p.m. with a VIP champagne reception 鈥 speakeasy-style entertainment with a live band, Charleston dancers, prohibition-themed tasting stations, games, and more.

The curtain goes up at 8:30 p.m. on the fashion show includes a series of tasteful and fun lingerie fashions presented by male and female models. The show will include two burlesque performances by The Lady Jane who is traveling from Quebec to perform in Friday鈥檚 show.

鈥淓mbrace your inner flapper and join us for a little hooch and a whole lot of lace 鈥榗ause it鈥檚 been a roaring 20 years!鈥 Perkins said.

Willowbrook Park throws a party

Saturday, June 5 marks the third annual Family Fun Day at Willowbrook Park.

These free festivities run 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., between M&M Meats and Red Robin.

The day features kid-friendly activities, live entertainment, and food.

Entertainment includes children鈥檚 entertainer and CBC radio personality Will Stroet, the star of Will鈥檚 James on Kids鈥 CBC and his Backyard Band.

The day also includes facepainting by Mrs. Picasso, as well as a ride-on kiddie train, and balloon art by Scruffles the Clown. There will be a photo booth, a spin-to-win prize wheel, cycling workshops, crafts for kids to create and take home, and even an appearance by the A&W Root Bear.

Of course, there is also a hotdog barbecue to help fill some hungry tummies.

Motorsports head to Tradex

I also feel I would be remiss if I don鈥檛 mention that 黑马磁力鈥檚 Sea to Sky Motorsports 鈥 remember a few weeks back how I told you they recently relocated to Murrayville 鈥 will be centre stage at the Rigs and Rides Show at Abbotsford鈥檚 Tradex this weekend.

The first-ever Rigs and Rides Show was designed with the automotive enthusiast in mind and will showcase all customization options to suite each individual鈥檚 wants, needs or lifestyle.

Whether it is a full custom restoration build for the gear head, or daily driver accessories such as canopies, hitches, or bike racks 鈥 apparently this new event will have it all.

Features at the show include a meet-颅鈥恆nd-颅鈥恎reet with Jamie Davis, star of the Discovery Channel鈥檚 hit show Highway Thru Hell, as well as a display of vehicles from his famous fleet; a spectacular outdoor patio display by Gemstone Landscape and Masonry, which is home to the Nitrous Lounge Beer Garden where Red Truck Brewery will be serving the official beer of the Rigs and Rides Show; and a race car- themed Ladies Lane express spa service area offered by Opal Spa.

There鈥檚 also a life-sized Optimus Prime Truck, the ultimate tribute and iconic figure of the Transformers franchise, that is being brought in by Rags to Riches Top Shop.

Show attendees will also be able to enter for a grand prize package, presented by Canada鈥檚 top hot rod and custom automotive shop, 360 Fabrication, valued at more than $3,000.

Show director Summer Nicholl is very excited about introducing this show to the public: 鈥淲e wanted to create an event that showcases more than just car customization.鈥

Rigs and Rides is about the customization of absolutely anything on wheels and will feature the best of the best within the aftermarket automotive industry, Nicholl elaborated.

鈥淚 want to appeal to all automobile owners. The Rigs and Rides Show will be donating $1 from each admission to two local charities, Matthew鈥檚 House respite care facility for children with complex care needs located in Abbotsford, as well as a series of Rigs and Rides scholarships, which is open for applications for those seeking to take educational courses related to the automotive industry.鈥

Winners will be announced on June 30.
