Applications are being accepted as part of BCAA Play Here, a new initiative to invest in kids鈥� play area projects around the province.
The community investment initiative is designed to protect the province鈥檚 children by rejuvenating play areas to make them safer and more enjoyable for kids and their families.
This year鈥檚 winner will receive a revitalization worth up to $100,000.
鈥淲e鈥檙e looking for play areas around the province that are in need of rejuvenation. It could be a park, a playground, a sporting facility or an after-school study area for example 鈥� if it鈥檚 a place where kids can spend their time and develop valuable life skills, we want to hear about how it can be improved to make it a safer, better place for kids to play,鈥� said Shawn Pettipas, BCAA鈥檚 manager, Community Impact.
Nominations from the public, community groups or non-profits anywhere in the province are open from today at www.BCAAplayhere.com. The public will then vote for the winner from a shortlist determined by a judging panel, with the winning project announced in July.
Applications will be accepted until May 1.
