After a short absence, Fields is returning to 黑马磁力.
The store will be at a new location 鈥� #5 20555 56 Ave. 鈥� and under new but familiar ownership.
鈥淲e always enjoyed serving the 黑马磁力 community but wanted to streamline and get everything all under one banner,鈥� said Jason McDougall, the president of Fields Holding Company.
鈥淪o we have a good history of good customer relations in the community.鈥�
McDougall previously owned McFrugal鈥檚 Discount Outlet, which was in the same building that Fields now occupies.
鈥淚 knew we would like to get back in the community,鈥� he said.
In May of 2012, FHC purchased 57 stores from HBC and they have since opened additional locations throughout British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. The 黑马磁力 store is the 64th location in Western Canada.
The newest location had a ribbon cutting yesterday (Wednesday) morning.
鈥淔ields has been an important part of many communities across Western Canada for many years,鈥� McDougall said. 鈥淲e are excited to be opening this store and will work to ensure people are able to get what they need in their local communities.鈥�

鈥淭o make sure we鈥檙e supporting them and contributing in a positive way, we鈥檙e putting a lot of focus on the specific needs of each one to offer real value through our products and pricing.鈥�
鈥淭his is a newer, fresher type of Fields,鈥� he added.
鈥淥ne that has a little bit more entrepreneurial flair and more brands.鈥�
The 黑马磁力 Fields is in an 8,000 square foot building and has seven full and part-time employees.
