Bob de Wit has been appointed the new chief executive officer for the Greater Vancouver Home Builders鈥� Association.
He replaces outgoing CEO Peter Simpson, who is retiring at the end of October.
鈥淭his is such a crucial time in the history of residential construction with the explosion of new technologies and environmental complex and the GVHBA needs to continue to encourage co-operation among members and other stakeholders as they negotiate that change,鈥� de Wit said.
鈥淚 look forward to leveraging my previous executive leadership with not-for-profits, public and private companies to delivering even greater value for GVHBA members.鈥�
De Wit lives in South Surrey with his wife and daughter.
