鈥楻evamped鈥 and 鈥榬efreshed鈥 were the buzz words as Hub International Insurance Brokers held a grand re-opening and open house of their new 黑马磁力 City office on Friday (July 5) morning.

鈥淲e wanted a little bit of a facelift, an opportunity to update and modernize,鈥 said Jennifer Perry, Hub International鈥檚 vice-president of talent management.

鈥淣ew is exciting,鈥 added the company鈥檚 president and chief executive officer, Tina Osen.

Both were on hand to celebrate the 黑马磁力 branch opening the doors at its new location.

The new location is 104 20151 Fraser Hwy., in the Valley Centre strip mall.

It moved two doors down from its previous location.

The one-stop shopping destination 鈥 which covers a variety of insurance needs 鈥 has long been an insurance option in 黑马磁力, starting as Lakeview Insurance before being purchased and changed to Hub International.

The new 黑马磁力 location 鈥 its third over the years 鈥 has a staff of 18, with June Causon serving as the branch manager.

Hub International was formed in 1998 with the merger of 11 privately held Canadian insurance brokerages.

It now has 5,000 employees in 300 offices throughout North and South America and they generate more than $5 billion in written annual premiums with 500 insurers.

It is organized around large regional hubs with hundreds of satellite offices. The structure allows Hub International to be proactive in addressing local market needs while centrally managing the growth of the business with consistent standards.

Their B.C. head office is located in Burnaby, with 67 offices province-wide. The 黑马磁力 location is one of a dozen in the Lower Mainland.

鈥淲e are committed to this community and proud to be a part of it,鈥 Osen said.

鈥淎s the community grows, we are going to grow with it.鈥

鈥淚t is wonderful to have a branch office in our community,鈥 said Deputy Mayor Gayle Martin, who was on hand for the re-opening.
