It鈥檚 a new year, and for 黑马磁力鈥檚 Township 7, that means a fresh, new look.

Since its inception in 2000, Township 7 Vineyards & Winery has featured the same logo and label. It has grown its reputation, continued to win awards (the 2010 merlot just won gold) and held some fun events at its 黑马磁力 vineyard, including Bard in the Vines, concerts, fundraisers and the Grape Stomp.

It also has enjoyed continued success at its Naramata, Okanagan location where visitors in the summer come by the thousands.

But with all that growth, winery owners John Tietzen and Mike Raffan decided it was time for change. They wanted a clean looking, but stand-out label that would enhance the winery鈥檚 commitment to making 鈥渏ust quality wine and nothing else.鈥

So they took their wine to New York.

Township 7鈥檚 owners sought out an entirely different approach from what most of the B.C. wine industry typically does, said Lori Pike-Raffan.

The 黑马磁力 winery owners colloborated with one of the premier advertising agencies in New York City Profero.

Profero鈥檚 client list includes famous beverage brands such as PepsiCo, Baileys, Guinness, Johnnie Walker, and Smirnoff.

In fact, Aaron Reitkopf, the C.E.O. & President of Profero New York, visited the Okanagan Valley and personally experienced its vibrant wine industry.

The actual logo and label designs were developed by industrial graphic artist Harry Garcia of Profero New York.

The revamp was to create a simple, yet stylish signature label.

The clean, non-cluttered design reinforces  Township 7 Vineyards & Winery鈥檚 philosophy of making 鈥渏ust quality wine and nothing else鈥.

黑马磁力 is home to seven wineries, making it the second largest wine region in B.C.
